Wildcard weekend is in the books and the AFC divisional playoff bracket is set. After a week of resting and watching the other teams play, the number one seeded Denver Broncos will host the Pittsburgh Steelers at Sports Authority Field at Mile High on Sunday January 17th. These two teams faced each other in Week 15 of the regular season with the Steelers coming out on top 34-27. The Broncos defense is a bit healthier this time around and will have a different quarterback under center in Peyton Manning who has regained his starting job from Brock Osweiler after a foot injury. Pittsburgh is a bit banged up as quarterback Ben Roethlisberger suffered a shoulder injury in the wildcard game and star receiver Antonio Brown is undergoing concussion protocol, however both are expected to hit the field. Playoff games are always intense and this matchup should be no different. On Saturday, January 16th the Kansas City Chiefs will head to Foxboro to take on the second seeded New England Patriots. The Chiefs are currently on a huge winning streak after 10 straight regular season victories and will look to play spoiler to the Patriots, who are used to advancing under head coach Bill Belichick. Kansas City has been playing tough but you can never count out New England, even with the various injuries that have plagued them late in the season.
AFC playoff tickets will be a hot commodity so be sure to grab yours early. You won’t want to miss out on any of the exciting on-field action of these great post season matchups.
