Steven Tyler and Joe Perry have made beautiful music in the recording studio over the course of a year to produce Music from Another Dimension! Now they are ready to play these songs live on the fall-leg of the 2012 Global Warming Tour when they take the stage with Cheap Trick. Aerosmith tickets for these shows pick up on November 8, 2012 in Oklahoma City at the Chesapeake Energy Arena and ends on December 13, 2012 in Nashville. This is the second leg of the two-leg North American tour.
Music from Another Dimension! Is, according to early accounts of the album, a celebration of the group’s revival in the 1980s. This is the group’s first album with completely original material in 11 years and fans will not be disappointed. Entertainment Weekly posits that the album is not Steven Tyler’s chance to shine, but Joe Perry’s Aerosmith album. Perry drives the track list with his well-tuned guitar and his well-practiced hand to strum the song along. Perry has always been the George Michael of the group, a talented musician who rarely reaches for the spotlight but shines when he does. He plays the gamut of modern rock and fans will soon be adding “Legendary Child” to the long list of Aerosmith hits.
Aerosmith is not alone on the tour following the album’s release. They invited Cheap Trick to perform as the opening act on the Global Warming Tour and the pairing has been phenomenal. Aerosmith’s icon status has unrightfully come into question of late. Meanwhile Cheap Trick’s status has been on the rise, as it has been since the 1980s. The result is a tour in which two groups of veteran rockers perform with little else but the desire to have a good time. These guys are not looking to break any records. They simply want to play their guitar, hit the drum, and screech some high notes for a crowd of fans they know adores them. All in all, these Aerosmith concert tickets are well worth the price of admission.
