What exactly is a bruin? Well, it does not matter because the Boston Bruins were the Stanley Cup champions in the 2010-2011 season and they can be whatever bruin they want to be. Formed in 1924, the Bruins were one of the six original NHL teams. They currently play in the Northeast Division of the Eastern Conference at the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts.

Leading this pack of Bruins is Claude Julien. This is his fourth season with the Bruins and has made dramatic improvements to the team since he first arrived in 2007. Every year he has been with the Bruins, the Bruins have gone to the playoffs. He has also coached the Montreal Canadiens and the New Jersey Devils.

With 46 wins and only 25 loses in the 2010-11 season, the Bruins clinched a spot in the playoffs and their division. The Bruins were seeded third in the Eastern Conference and faced off against the Montreal Canadiens, who were defeated in a nail biting Game Seven. The Bruins went on to sweep the Philadelphia Flyers and then defeat the Tampa Bay Lighting, which pitted the Bruins against the Vancouver Canucks in the Stanley Cup Finals. The home team was the winner until Game Seven in Vancouver, where the Bruins won by shutting out the Canucks 4-0.

The home of the Bruins is the TD Garden, which was opened in 1995. It has the capacity to hold 17,565 hockey fans and underwent major renovations in 2006, which included a new entertainment board, advertising panels, and a vintage hockey siren for the end of the period buzzer.

The Stanley Cup has made its way into the Bruins hands plenty of times before the most recent win. They have had 18 appearances and six wins, which makes them the second American team to have the most Stanley Cup championships.

The Boston Bruins were in a slump and then were revived by Claude Julien, who was able to lead them to another Stanley Cup victory. With plenty of talent and expertise, they are a great team to be a fan of.
