One of the classic sounds of the of the 1970's and 1980's belonged to the group Boston. With such hits as More than I'm Feeling, Peace of Mind and Don't Look Back, Peace of Mind, and Amanda, Boston had one of the sounds most closely associated with the sound of the 80s. and Boston and their ubquitous surround sound is one of the groups that individuals can listen to and enjoy.
Those who choose to listen to Boston will find some great performers with a classic sound. This group has been selling music since the 1970's. The founder of the band was Tom Scholz, who continues to perform with the group today despite changes in other members of the band. The group's self styled debut album sold 17 million copies. Their second album Don't Look Back sold 7 million copies. Boston is responsible altogether for 6 separate studio albums. Their greatest hits album came out in 1997. One of the Boston members the multi talented Brad Delp committed suicide in 2007. The surviving band members played a tribute concert in his honor in of Delp. The Come Together Concert was performed in August 2007 shortly after Delp's death.
The band members have had ongoing conflicts within the group. They have had creative and interpersonal differences that have led to departures of some of the group members. The band has continued to performed since 2009 however, and also released a remastered Greatest Hits album despite various band members coming and going including Michael Sweet. The founding member of Boston and many of the surviving band members continue to make music and tour. In 2012 the band went on a massive North American tour. Boston also released an album in 2013. It was titled Life, Love and Hope. Boston's brand of hard and progressive rock will continue to be on display for hopefully many years to come as this is a classic band with a great sound and music.
