Santana is one of those artists that are to be emulated. He is from the Autlan de Navarro city of Mexico. Later in his life, Santana went out San Francisco and it is here where the Santana Blues Band originated. A little much later, the band became recognized as just the Santana and it signed the first contract that was successful with the Columbia Records. During the years that followed, this band was able to release a number of albums, which were all hits. Evidently, Santana Carlos was recognized fro his achievement with the Lifetime Achievement Award of 2009.
Santana’s early life
Santana is a very renowned guitarist as well as a singer. He learned how to play the guitar to the star he is from observing his father who was a very famous violinist. His first performance was based in Tijuana strips clubs. His inspiration came from rock artists such as the Ray Charles, B.B King, as well as the Little Richard. He got the chance to be introduced to a number of other musical influences such as the international folk music and jazz. Through these, Santana was able to witness he growth of the hippie movement that was based in San Francisco.
Santana spend quite some time working as dishwasher. Here, he was able to play at least for some streets spare change. It was from such experience that Santana decided to do music full time.
Santana as a Rock Star
The original songs that the Santana Band played were a mixture of jazz, blues, Latin-infused rock, salsa as well as some African rhythms. Such a blend of tunes gave the Santana band the fame that went beyond borders. The performance that the band staged at Woodstock is one to be remembered as it formed its early success.
With time, the personnel of the band began changing frequently leaving Santana Carlos as the only original member of the trio.
