A mere 19 years ago, the Carolina Panthers were formed to compete in the NFL. Though they are still a young team, the Panthers have managed to win three Division Championships, and have made it to a Super Bowl. The Panthers compete in the South Division of the NFC. They currently play at Bank of America Stadium located in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Last season, the Panthers finished with a tough 6-10 record. Though it was a losing season overall, the Panthers have a lot to be proud of. Last season was the Panthers first season with newly first round draft pick, Quarterback, Cam Newton. Many people had questions as to whether this kid could compete at a high level in the NFL. He was able to silence the critics when he threw for an amazing 4,051 passing yards and 21 touchdowns. He also demonstrated his speed, collecting 706 rushing yards with 14 touchdowns. Newton collected both rookie passing and rushing records in the NFL last season. The Panthers have been looking to find a spark to get the team moving in the right direction once again. They believe with Newton’s impressive offensive abilities and powerful guidance of Head Coach Ron Rivera, the panthers are staging a comeback.

Since 1996, this amazing stadium has gladly welcomed football fans from all over. The stadium comfortably seats 73,778 fans. Every year since its opening in 1996, the stadium has added seats to fit the large crowds. The grass playing surface is a player favorite, from the football players to even the FIFA Soccer teams who are known to play there from time to time. This stadium brings a football atmosphere felt at every seat. The team is looking for a winning path, and would love to bring the fans along for the ride.

 It is not easy for a team to compete in a division consisting of Playoff contending teams such as the New Orleans Saints, and the Atlanta Falcons. The Panthers do not seem too intimidated as they look to show the NFL they can compete with the likes of anyone.  The next few seasons will be crucial for the panthers as they look to develop their defensive game, and gain the ability to close out opponents late in games. The previous season has shown great promise for the Panthers, but they also do not want that to be their end point. From here on out the Panthers have their eyes set on developing into one of the best teams in the NFL.
