Formed in 1919, the Chicago Bears are among the ranks of the oldest teams in the NFL. They originally were the Decatur Stanleys, but ultimately ended up as the team we all know today. This team has been able to battle to a Super Bowl championship in 1985 and tried to do it again in 2006, but to no avail. The Bears are in the North Division of the National Football Conference, where they play at Soldier Field in Chicago, Illinois.

The head coach of the Bears is Lovie Smith. During his time with the team, since 2004, he has been able to lead the Bears to a Super Bowl appearance. In the 2010 season, the Bears had an exceptional 11 wins with five loses, placing them at first in the North Division. In the playoffs, they went on to defeat the Seattle Seahawks to put them in the conference championships, but the Green Bay Packers were there to stop them. 

The current home of the Bears is Soldier Field in Chicago, Illinois. It was first opened in 1924, but a recent renovation in 2002 caused the stadium to reopen in 2003. The stadium has a seating capacity of 61,500 people and a grass playing surface.

The Bears have been able to prove their worthiness of being in the Super Bowl by their regular season performance, but proof is only half the game. The only way a team will become Super Bowl champions is to want it and then earn it before someone else takes it.
