A baseball club located in Cleveland, Ohio, is the Cleveland Indians. Playing in the American league and part of the central division, their home field is now known as Progressive Field.

Like most major league teams, they will hold spring training in a warm area of the states. For the Indians you can find them hitting the field in Goodyear, Arizona. They have actually been a franchise since 1901, with a record that always seem to be horrible; they have a 62 year drought of a great season.

They are continually trying to make the team one that will win, and go to the playoffs. Perhaps this year around it will be the time for the Indians to make a run, and come out big winners.

During the time frame of 1960 all the way through 1993, this team had only one third place finish during the years. With another, six seasons, where they finished fourth, it's hard to imagine a long-term fan of this team.

But fans are patient, and love the team through the good and bad. Since most of the time in the past they have been one of the worst teams playing. However, they seem to be having a great season.

For fans of the Cleveland Indians, they know how strong this team can play. Sooner or later they will win a championship, again, like they deserve. Giving those people much more to cheer about, and bring in new fans as well.

Currently they are located at the top of the division, ahead of another perennial bad team, the Detroit tigers. The momentum of the second half of the season could be enough to propel them to the top of the division permanently. Leading to another visit to the playoffs, after the big year they had falling just short in 2008.
