If you live in Colorado, then you know the Colorado Buffaloes football team, which has been around a lot longer than most people believe. The Buffaloes were formed in 1890 and are still kicking. They have recently moved from the Big 12 Conference to the Pacific-12 Conference of the NCAA , where they play at Folsom Field in Boulder, Colorado.
The newest head coach of the Buffaloes is Jon Embree, who actually started his coaching career by volunteering to help coach the team back in 1991. Over the years, he has coached many teams, but has ultimately found his way back to the Buffs for his first head coaching debut in the 2011 season. The previous head coach of the Buffaloes was Dan Hawkins, who led the team to fifth place in the Division with 2 wins and 6 loses.
The home of the Buffalos is Folsom Field in Boulder, Colorado. It was opened in 1924 with a seating capacity of 53,613 people and is the first zero waste stadium. The stadium's surface was originally grass, but was replaced by artificial turf in 1971. In 1999, the surface was turned back to grass and has been that way ever since.
The Buffaloes have had a reputation of being one of the great college teams. Unfortunately, they haven't been able to show it in the past years. Hopefully, a new coach and a new division is what the Buffaloes need to become the great team they once were.
