In the world of football, a college will only be known well if their football program has succeeded. Colorado State University is no exception to this group of well known teams and has been able to boast about their team since it was formed in 1893. The Rams are in the Mountain West Conference of the NCAA.

The leader of the pack, for these Rams, is Steve Fairchild, who started head coaching the team in 2008. Fairchild is no stranger to football with several years in the NFL and NCAA as an offensive coordinator. The Rams continue to be the only team Fairchild has head coached. This past season, the Rams were only able to win 2 games and lost 6 games, placing them at sixth in the Mountain West Conference.

Sonny Lubick Field Tickets The home of the Rams is the Sonny Lubick Field at Hughes Stadium. The stadium was opened in 1968 with a seating capacity of 30,000 people, but seats were added in 2005 to bring it to 34,400 people. It's playing surface consists of artificial turf, which replaced natural grass in 2005.

There is nothing else like a CSU football game where the stadium is filled with the color green and everyone is there to watch their Rams win. Unfortunately, their past season was not full of much winning, but players come and go until everything clicks and they play as a great team.
