Since 1995, Creedence Clearwater Revival founding members Stu Cook and Doug “Cosmo” Clifford have been performing up to 100 shows a year as Creedence Clearwater Revisited and released a live double album entitled “Recollection”.
As members of Creedence Clearwater Revival, they headlined the Saturday night slot at the legendary Woodstock Music Festival and that same year they had an amazing three albums in the top 10 with four songs in the top three singles. The former CCR rhythm section created Creedence Clearwater Revisited after the original band’s induction to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, to once again play the hit songs that were so popular to a generation. Since then, they have been thrilled with the response they have received and have gained new audiences that were not even born during CCR’s heyday. Joining the former CCR duo is lead singer/rhythm guitar player John Tristao, lead guitarist Kurt Griffey who has toured with notable groups including members of the Eagles, Foreigner and Moody Blues, and talented multi-instrumentalist Steve Gunner. According to Laughlin Entertainer, “the music strikes the right chords with a cross section of listener. It is the music of the Vietnam era, high school dances, baseball games, biker rides, love found, love lost, rebellion…and eternal youth…”Revisited” works, not only because it has two of the original CCR pieces in place and thus, directly connected to history , but it works because it captures a slice of time”.
