Denver Broncos

The Denver Broncos history began in 1960 when minor league baseball owner Bob Howsam was awarded with starting the franchise, which would later make a significant impact to the NFL. With two Superbowl wins, six AFC Championships, and four players to enter the Hall of Fame, the Broncos sure have left their mark. After a bit of a rebuilding year last season, the fans expectations of this season are high.

With a new Coach, former coach of the Carolina Panthers, John Fox is looking to turn this franchise around and continue to move forward. Coach Fox has focused his game plan and strategies on improving our defense and defensive pass rush, which is much needed. With the Broncos getting the overall number two pick in the draft this year, they selected Von Miller, a pass rushing specialist out of Texas A&M. "He is a rare talent, there is no doubt. I have been doing this-this is my 23rd draft-and he has those rare abilities, the things you cannot coach," said Fox when asked about Miller's game changing talent.

Invesco Field TicketsAlong with this new power to be used on the d-line, is Elvis Dumervil, a 5'11 aggressive pass rusher and also playing some outside linebacker, who was a big loss last year after tearing his pectoral and was sidelined for the season. The Broncos secondary is working continuously to be improved, led by future Hall-of-Famer Champ Baily. On the other side of the line of scrimmage, fan favorite Tim Tebow looks to be competing with NFL veteran Kyle Orton for the starting position at Quarterback. Orton put up some good numbers for a majority of the season before getting injured, throwing 20 touchdowns and 9 interceptions, and 3,653 yards putting him at an 87.5 passer rating. Although he isn't the flashiest or most exciting player in the NFL, he simply gets the job done.

Tebow on the other hand, a two-time National Championship QB for the Florida Gators, sure put a spark in the Broncos offense when they needed it most. With only a few chances in the spotlight, he executed both passing and running the ball effectively. Returning Pro Bowl selected Wide Receiver Brandon Lloyd, along with NFL vet Jabar Gaffney hope to continue to be leaders on the offense and make plays.

Although this Denver squad has been doubted by many, with a new coach, a new game plan, and returning playmakers on both sides of the ball, they have all the necessities to turn this program around and have a successful 2011-2012 season.
