Thus Eli & Young, an acoustic duo, first started to play coffee shops and bars at the University of North Texas. The would expand and add electricity to become the Eli Young Band, a group whose song writing abilities would ensure their continued relevancy in a genre with veterans constantly fighting the surge of new talent.
