Enrique Iglesias has seduced audiences in Spanish and English, but rarely has he done so at the same time. Euphoria and the Euphoria Tour with Jennifer Lopez is one of those rare moments. For, this is his first bilingual album, and if the success of this project has been any indication, he should seriously consider rolling another one out as soon as possible. Enrique Iglesias tickets have taken their place among the best-selling of the year in 2012. Certainly the addition of a single J Lo to the tour helped, but the overwhelming reason for his success is the collection of hits on the set list.
The album has yielded two number one hits on the Latin charts – “Cuando Me Enamoro” and “No Me Digas Que No” – and four hits on the English-speaking charts – “I Like It”, “Heartbeat”, “Tonight (I’m Lovin’ You)”, and “Dirty Dancer”. The songs have made this tour a dance heavy show, as these songs are all in heavy rotation in clubs throughout the world. This double platinum release has made the last two years of his life a euphoric era, with constant touring and acceptance into the hip hop and Reggaeton music communities.
Enrique Iglesias has openly been discussing the prospect of getting back to work putting out another album, perhaps since the remaining Euphoria Tour dates are dwindling quickly. He and J Lo will only share the stage until September 2, 2012 at the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida. He then heads out with a few solo shows over the next couple of months, but these performances are few and far between.
One certainly gets the impression he wants to get back to work and take on the daunting task of trying to surpass the excellence consistently demonstrated on Euphoria. It is a challenge that scares him, but a challenge he feels he needs to take. He has already released the single “Finally Found You” with American rapper Sammy Adams and it has been designated the first single from his second bilingual album. The only variable making this next move difficult is time. He is currently being considered to be a judge on American Idol. If he takes on this gig fans may have to wait a while for both a new album and Enrique Iglesias tickets for a new tour. If he turns it down, then the world can prepare for another phenomenal effort in 2013.
