Heavy metal minions celebrate the power of Zoltan every night in 2012 when they arrive with Five Finger Death Punch tickets and enter the pit directly in front of the stage. These sacrifices to the new lords of metal have been seven years coming, as back in 2005, inspired by his love for shredding heavy metal and the martial arts, Zoltan Bathory formed and named 5FDP. Now, with the release of American Capitalist and the rise from opening act to festival headliner, the group can proudly lord over its niche audience, an audience that seems to need this music like air, food, or water.
The fans of the heavy metal genre truly are as passionate and loyal as ancient samurai. Groups like Five Finger Death Punch provide the live performances that allow them to wear their angst on their sleeves, showing the world their true feelings. The band is certainly writing without any worry about anything other than being honest. 5FDP and others like them cannot help but play their music with every muscle in their body. This is the nature of the heavy metal genre and this is why FFDP tickets will continue to bring these audiences to venues throughout the country.
This summer they are headlining the Trespass America Festival, a travelling circus of metallic proportions. FFDP headlines, with Killswitch Engage, trivium, God Forbid, Pop Evil, and Battlecross playing featured stages until the festival ends. This trail of thrashing ends on November 27, 2012 with a stop in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The last show comes a couple months after the majority of the schedule is completed in August. Five Finger Death Punch is likely going to continue its own tour. That or the group will return to the recording studio to prepare a fourth studio album for their fans consumption.
Both of these are likely to do both over the course of the next six months as this is perhaps the most stable the lineup has ever been. Founder Zoltan is the rhythm guitarist, Jeremy Spencer is the drummer, Ivan Moody is the lead singer, Jason Hook is the lead guitarist, and Chris Kael is the bass guitarist. With a solid near two years together these five men have endured a lifetime together given the tempest like nature of the heavy metal genre.
