Gabriel Iglesias is a comedian of Mexican-American Heritage. He was raised up by a single parent, his mother. Most of his life time, he grew up in Long Beach although he has lived many other different places with his mother. He started his comedy at early age. Prior to his comedy work, he worked in Los Angeles in a cell phone company. His family was not in favor of the idea of joining comedy because of the financial constraints which would arise if he left his present work.

Gabriel decided to give comedy a shot still working in the company. He later decided to enter into comedy full time and gave up the work in the mobile company altogether. Due to this decision, he was evicted from the house and lost his car. These losses did not break his heart.

At the age of twenty, he appeared in Season 6 of a comedy series "All That", in which he co-starred with other famous comedy actors. In 2006 he competed in a comedy series, "The Last Comic Standing" a TV series show fourth season, but was disqualified for using a blackberry in the series which was against the rules. In November the year 2009, there was a release of the show: "I am Not Fat, I am Fluffy." This term emerged in comedies performed in the 1940s and was used to refer to people who are overweight.

His producers produced "Stand Up Showcase" series in 2011 which Iglesias produces and hosts. A certain columnist with a famous newspaper praised him for his work in comedy. This album unlike the others was created by the fans and that means they love it.

Gabriel Iglesias lives with his girlfriend and his stepson in Whittier, California. He is a person who is always unaffected by his past and most of the time on stage he can stop and ask the fans about his autograph. He can be described as a genial guy.
