The Great American Beer Festival or GABF has been held every year since 1982 and is presented by the Brewers Association, a not-for-profit educational and trade organization that is devoted to making quality brewing and beer information available to anyone. Considered the premier U.S. beer festival and competition each year the GABF represents the largest collection of U.S. beer ever served, in the format of a public tasting event plus a private competition. Each year the event brings together the brewers and beers that are making the U.S. the world’s greatest brewing nation. This event showcases the best and most diverse beers that have made craft brewing one of the fastest-growing segments of the beer, wine and spirits industry. The festival will be held September 24-26 2015 at the Colorado Convention Center, 700 14th Street, in Hall F at the Colorado Convention Center which is located by walking east on Champa up to the 14th past the Regional Transportation District (RTD) and then cross over on the Convention side of the 14th in Denver, Colorado. All ticket holders will be required to enter off Stout Street or the new Welton street entrance. Children under two are permitted but only if being held by a parent at all times otherwise the above 21 rule will apply with no exceptions. Designated Driver tickets are available as well as free, non-alcoholic soda will be available. New in 2015 the GABF will be adding: Meet the Brewer a roughly 30,000 square foot space dedicated to just under 100 breweries that will be staffed by their own employees. Nancy Johnson, event director at the Brewers Association said “Meet the Brewers is another great opportunity for passionate beer fans to start conversations with brewers, learn more about their beers and talk shop”. Also new this year at the GABF their Farm to Table Pavilion is also getting a new name: Paired. The format will stay the same as the small independent brewers, chefs and restaurants from around the country will offer pairings just off the main hall. This year’s event promises to be even better than ever before so hurry now and get your tickets to the Great American Beer Festival!
