Ina Rosenberg Garten was born in February 2, 1948 in Brooklyn New York and she was raised in Stamford, Connecticut. Ina Garten was one of the two children born to one Mr. Charles H. Rosenberg. Her father was a surgeon and was specialized in Otolaryngology and Ina’s mother was called Florence. Ina Garten was bright in school and she showed an aptitude in science. Ina was so close to her father than her mother. She described her father as a social and jovial man.
Ina met her future husband when she was only 15 years of age, Jeffrey Garten. She met Mr. Garten when she was on a trip to visit her brother who was in Dartmouth College. Ina and Garten exchanged letters for about a year before they began dating. After she had completed her high school education, she then joined Syracuse University with plans to study fashion design, but she later changed her mind and decided to major in economics. Shortly thereafter, she called-off her studies to marry.
She got married on December 22, 1968 in Stamford and later relocated to Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Ina Garten is an American author. She is an Emmy award winner host of the Food Network program Barefoot Contessa and she is former White House nuclear policy analyst. Ina is known for designing grate recipes with an emphasis on fresh ingredients and tips for saving time. She caught the eyes of the world’s famous actresses such as Oprah Winfrey, Patricia Wells and Martha Stewart for her cooking and home entertaining.
She had no formal training, but she managed to teach herself culinary techniques with the help of New England and French cookbooks. She relied on her customers’ feedback and intuition and friends to improve her recipes. Some of her dishes include: beef bourguignon, celery root remoulade, pear clafouit and many more. Her career began with gourmet food store and Barefoot Contessa. She then expanded her activities to various best-selling cookbooks, self-branded convenience products, magazine columns and the famous Food Network television show. She is a hardworking and a determined lady.
