The Indianapolis Colts were formed in 1953 as the Baltimore Colts. It wasn't until 1984 when they would get their current name when the team relocated. During their time in the NFL they have accumulated four Super Bowl appearances, which two of them have been wins. Their most recent win was in Super Bowl 40 in 2006. The Colts are in the South Division of the American Football Conference, where they play at the Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana.

The current head coach of the Colts is Jim Caldwell, who was named the Colts' head coach in 2008. In his first two years, he was able to lead the Colts to a Super Bowl appearance. The Colts' 2010 season consisted of ten wins and six loses gaining them a spot in the playoffs. Their Super Bowl dreams were cut short when the New York Jets beat them in the Wild Card Weekend, 17 to 16.

The home of the Colts is Lucas Oil Stadium, which was opened in 2008. Ironically, this newer stadium looks like an old field house sports arena. The stadium has a seating capacity of 63,000 people and features an artificial turf playing surface. A unique feature of the stadium is its retractable roof and window wall.

Watching football for a long time makes a person create certain assumptions about a team. This team is going to be hard to beat or this will be a piece of cake. The Colts' assumption is that they will always play their hardest till the scoreboard reads 0:00.
