Jeff Foxworthy Tickets

Jeff Foxworthy is an author, comedian and media personality who was born on September sixth 1958. He belongs to a four man comedy troupe that was made up of Bill Engvall, Larry the Cable Guy and Ron White. He has produced six comedy albums under major labels. The Recording Industry Association of America certified his initial two albums as three times multi platinum.

He has also authored various books basing on his numerous redneck jokes, and he also wrote an autobiography. He made an enterprising venture into television from the mid 90s where he starred in his self titled sitcom show. He has also featured alongside his troupe members in the Blue Collar TV. He also hosted a radio show entitled The Countdown which aired for ten years until 2009.

He attended Georgia Tech but quit just before graduating. For five years, he worked in the maintenance of mainframe computers at IBM, a company that his father had worked as a chief executive. In 1984, he entered a Punchline comedy club in Atlanta due to insistence of co-workers. He triumphed in this Great Southeastern Laugh-off.

At the American Comedy awards of 1990, he received an award for best stand-up comedian. In 1993, his album sold excess of three million copies. This was also the case for his 1995 album entitled Games Rednecks Play which also got nominated for the Grammy for Best Spoken Comedy.

His sitcom aired on ABC for a solitary season before being cancelled. NBC picked up this show but cancelled it after one season. He later remarked that those networks did not comprehend how to market his humor properly.

Jeff Foxworthy was the main subject in a 2005 Comedy Central Roast. The Blue Collar Comedy troupe revived his career in the early 2000s. They specialized in common man comedy and toured the United States, where they performed over record crowds.
