The Warrior Tour is set to begin July 3, 2013 in Cork Ireland at the Docklands and end August 31, 2013 in Gilford, New Hampshire at the Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion. This will be Kesha’s second headlining tour and her first since priming the audience with an MTV reality show, a new line of jewelry (made from human teeth), and the news of a collaborative project with the Flaming Lips.
Overall, there will be Kesha tickets for 29 shows, 13 in Europe and 16 in North America. Joining her on tour will be Semi Precious Weapons and Mike Posner. This is going to be an intense tour, as it all happens within the span of two months.
Now, it seems likely the tour will be expanded, as a two month trek seems a little too short for someone with so much going in the news. So, expect some kind of a major announcement soon!
Kesha may just owe her music career to Paris Hilton. She always had an ambition to become a pop star, and this may have been a family trait she inherited from her mother (who had been a songwriter). So, it seems likely that this family was a candidate when Nicole Ritchie and Paris Hilton came to their small town to film an episode of The Simple Life. Well after the episode aired, Kesha Sebert showed an interest in becoming more than a momentary reality star.
She dropped out of high school and moved to Los Angeles where she pursued producer Dr. Luke, who met a year earlier. Now signed to Kemosabe Entertainment, she again met up with Paris Hilton. This time she sang backup on the reality star’ single, “Nothing in This World”. She then followed with an appearance in Katy Perry’s music video “I Kissed a Girl” and a role as a backup singer in Britney Spears’ “Lace and Leather”. Of course, her big break through came when she made an appearance as a featured artist on Flo Rida’s “Right Round”.
In addition to performing, she had worked as a songwriter. This became particularly useful when she went to work on her own albums, the first of which was Animal. The album was a huge hit and went number one on the charts and platinum in the United States. The bigger hits were the singles. “Tik Tok”, “Blah, Blah, Blah”, “Your Love is My Drug”, and “Take It Off” all were Top 10 hits that went multi-platinum.
Perhaps even more popular than the album and the songs were the theatrical live performances. Noteworthy because of the glitter, backup dancers, and professionally-designed sets, these show made Kesha tickets extremely popular.
They remained so as she went on tour to support her EP, Cannibal, and her sophomore album, Warrior. These albums gave the pop universe a few more tracks to champion, including “We R Who We R”, “Blow”, and “Die Young”. And, it appears as though there will be many more new albums and new tours in the future for Kesha.
