Reunited with original vocalist Richie McDonald, the country quartet Lonestar is celebrating two decades in the business with an extensive anniversary tour slotted for over 90 dates in North America alone. Lonestar is known for combining country with strong melodies and rich vocals and have sold more than 10 million album units since their national launch in 1995. They have created 10 number one hits including “No News”, “Come Crying To Me” and their popular crossover song “Amazed”. The band also won the 1999 ACM Single of the Year for “Amazed” and the 2001 CMA Vocal Group of the Year.
All four members of the band, Richie McDonald (lead vocals, piano), Michael Britt (lead guitar, backing vocals),Keech Rainwater (drums) and Dean Sams (keyboard, acoustic guitar, backing vocals) all pride themselves as good old boys originally from Texas blue collar homes, who know the value of hard work. Lonestar is currently at work creating a new self-produced album and the band feels that they are better than they have ever been. Their 20th anniversary tour should draw large crowds as they blend their country roots with great melodies to locales in Kentucky, New Jersey, Denver, Alaska and everywhere in between.
