Mad Decent Block Party

Block PartyAEG Live – Rocky Mountains Presents, Mad Decent Block Party 2015 is coming to Red Rocks Amphitheatre for the first time ever this August 30th! The electronic dance party is known for having the best acts, the best mix of music and unique blends and fusion of lights, and sounds, so pair that with the beautiful scenery surrounding this event and it is a party you do not want to miss! Keep your eyes open for a full line up as now they are only listing Major Lazer as the headlining artist and more than a few people are still learning about this collaboration.  Major Lazer was originally a collaboration with fellow EDM artist Switch, and later on Jillionaire and Walshy Fire.  After both working with MIA, Diplo and Switch were introduced to each other and it was from this that Major Lazer was born.  Their first album “Guns Don’t Kill People… Lazers Do” was released summer 2009 via Downtown Records.  Featuring special vocal guests like Nina Sky, Santigold and Turbulence the album was met with warm reception.  A MTV, VMA Breakthrough Video nomination for “Hold The Line” and many live performances at some of the biggest musical festivals around the world such as the 2010 Coachella Music Festival in California and The Falls Music & Arts Festival in Victoria, Australia.  For all your Mad Decent Block Party tickets you can purchase them here!

In 2011 Switch left and was replaced by the DJ/Producer Jillionaire and Walshy Fire and the trio released “Free The Universe” in April of 2013 featuring many guest vocals from various artists again such as Bruno Mars.  They signed up to work with Pharrell Williams and Sean Paul as part of their EP project “Apocalypse Now.” They are known for their unique blend of electronic dance and reggae undertones and they are without doubt one of the most fun acts performing live and always whip the crowd into a frenzy of suitable excitement with ease.  Every show is complete with crazy effects, twerkin dancers, and crowd surfing so if you like having a great time dancing, and getting “turnt up” then come out and see this show!
