Maroon 5 And Train Touring Together

Rock bands, Maroon 5 and Train are touring the United States together this summer. The tour kicks off in Chula Vista, California, on July 22, 2011, and travels through about 40 cities. The first half of the tour features Gavin Degraw as the opening act.

Gavin Degraw will open until August 26th at Holmdel, New Jersey. Beginning with the August 28th concert in Louisville, Kentucky, Matt Nathanson will open for the rest of the tour. The final concert is in The Woodlands, Texas, on September 24, 2011.

The rock band Maroon 5 is from Los Angeles, and while still in high school "Kara's Flowers" begins with four members. The group consists of rhythm guitarist and lead vocalist Adam Levine. Bass guitarist is Mickey Madden, and on the keyboard is Jesse Carmichael. The drummer is Ryan Dusik. In 1997, guitarist James Valentine joined, and the rest is history. Their debut album "Songs about Jane" featured four hit songs, which enjoyed a great deal of popularity.

The group won a Grammy Award in 2005 in the "Best New Artist" category, and drummer Ryan Dusik left the band. He claimed that constantly touring was too much for him, and Matt Flynn became the new drummer. The group has sold more than ten million albums nationally, and an additional five million albums all over the world.

The rock band Train started in San Francisco in the year 1994. The current group is made up of Jimmy Stafford on guitar and vocals, singer Patrick Monahan, and drummer and percussionist Scott Underwood. Their second album called "Drops of Jupiter" is still very popular.

The main single from the album, "Drops of Jupiter Tell Me" has the distinction of being double platinum in Canada and the United States. The group has two Grammy Awards from 2002, and they both come from "Drops of Jupiter". Many people are looking forward to the Maroon 5 and Train tour, this year.
