The days are getting shorter, the air a little cooler, and thoughts are turning to indoor sports, basketball in particular. The National Basketball Association, or NBA is gearing up to start its 2013/2014 season come the end of October, with the preseason in the month of October. Let's see how the Milwaukee Bucks are getting ready for the season.

The Milwaukee Bucks play in the Central division of the Eastern conference against such rivals as Chicago, Detroit and Indiana. They ended last season with a 38-44 overall record. The team lacked depth and scoring last year, and was looking to shore up those positions in the off season.

The Milwaukee Bucks picked up a number of veteran players this off season, leaving some fans to wonder what their plans were. They signed Caron Bulter and O.J. Mayo, both who have seen time in the league and may not be the players they once were, but who can still provide some much need support and playing time in Milwaukee. They will fill some of the holes, and with the ongoing questions about Carlos Delfenio, who the Milwaukee Bucks signed in July, but is recovering from foot surgery and may miss the preseason, their experience is needed.

Bradley Center TicketsWhere the Milwaukee Bucks were going with the players they picked up this off season may be answered in part with the announcement just the other day that they had hired former Lakers assistant coach Jim Cleamons to Coach Larry Drew's staff. He will join another former Laker, Nick Van Excel on the bench with Larry Drew, who is also a former Laker, who left the Atlanta Hawks in the off season to join the Milwaukee Bucks. The coaching staff is going to be heavy with former Lakers, guys who have known each other, so there might be some insight in those selections alone as to where the team is headed.

The Milwaukee Bucks will open both the preseason and the regular season on the road. The preseason will start on October 8th in Cleveland, then on to Minnesota on the 10th. They finish out the preseason at home against Toronto on the 25th. The regular season starts on the 30th of October with a game at New York. The first home game of the regular season will come November 2nd, when the Milwaukee Bucks host Toronto.
