The Minnesota Vikings have an elite running back, a young promising quarterback and a defense on the rise. Can this talented team reach the playoffs for the first time since 2012 or will they fall flat this season? With Adrian Peterson back in the fold, he provides a punishing running game which will be complemented by newly acquired wideout Mike Wallace who just hasn’t lived up to his potential in any of his previous NFL homes but has incredible vertical speed. Young talent Charles Johnson who broke out in 2014 and tight end Kyle Rudolph also provide solid weapons for the signal caller. Sophomore quarterback Teddy Bridgewater, who was thrust into the starting job last season when Matt Cassel went down with a foot injury now has 12 games under his belt as the starter and will only improve from here.
Defensively, the Vikings are stocked with stout veteran players including safety Harrison Smith, defensive end Everson Griffin and linebacker Chad Greenway. Young ascending guys like linebacker Anthony Barr, lineman Sharif Floyd and cornerback Xavier Rhodes have a full year of experience under Coach Mike Zimmer and hopefully have a firm grasp of his complex defensive scheme. In the NFC North, the Green Bay Packers may finally have some legitimate competition in 2015 as the Vikings have all the right components to emerge as a real threat for not only this season, but years to come. Be sure to purchase your Minnesota Vikings tickets and catch this team in person throughout the 2015 season as they take on the competition and attempt to make the postseason for the first time in three seasons.
