Sibling superstars Julianne and Derek Hough who have described Move Live as “a cross between a Broadway spectacular and the hippest, coolest dance party you’ve ever been to.” Are headlining the performance in a solo duet, and group performances with styles that are ranging from ballroom and tap to salsa and hip-hop and everything in between. Derek Hough is an Emmy Award winning choreographer and was actually the winningest champion on the ABC show “Dancing With The Stars.” He started dancing in his hometown of Salt Lake City, UT at age 11 and then moved to London to live and train with the top dancers in the world. While living in London he was lead in the stage version of Footloose. His innovative and amazing choreography has earned him a total of five Emmy Nominations. In 2013 he choreographed the routine for World Champion Ice Dancers Meryl Davis and Charlie White for the 2014 Winter Olympics, in Sochi, Russia and the duo was awarded the Gold Medal and received record setting scores and rave reviews.
His sister Julianne is world renowned for her success in film, television and music, she was a two-time professional champion on ABC “Dancing With The Stars” as well. Making her own name in the updated screen version of “Footloose” after making a smooth passage to becoming an award-winning recording artist and being a huge splash in her debut film "Burlesque.” The siblings are extremely excited to be working together in their debut role as network producers in a series exploring the “darker side of the glamourous world of ballroom dance,” titled Blackpool.
Move Lives’ stylist is Marco Marco who has been designing costumes for Hollywood’s elite for over a decade. Also working with the siblings on the endeavor are Napoleon and Tabith, also known as Nappytabs, they are world famous choreographer/directors best known for the work on the FOX hit television show So You Think You Can Dance.
