Neil Young is not only a musician, singer-songwriter, producer, director, and screenwriter. He is also an entrepreneur who is one of the greatest humanitarians of our generation. The Canadian born artist’s musical work is characterized by his distinctive guitar skills, his deeply personal lyrics and his signature vocal talents. Neil is also extremely skilled on several different instruments, including piano and harmonica, his idiosyncratic electric and clawhammer acoustic guitar playing are the defining markers that have a ragged harmonious melodic sound. Over the course of his illustrious career Young has experimented with different styles and sounds including swing and electronic music however most of his best known work has him performing either acoustic, folk-rock, country rock, electric or amplified hard rock, mostly in collaboration with the band Crazy Horse. Young has also influenced alternative rock and grunge bands many have adopted his styles and have dubbed him the “Godfather of Grunge”. Young released his thirty-fifth studio album in the fall of 2014 entitled, Storytone. The first song released off the album, Who’s Gonna Stand Up?, was released in three different versions which were all very well received.
