To win three Super Bowls in four years is a great achievement in the NFL, which the New England Patriots were able to accomplish in 2001, 2003. and 2004. Incredibly, theses three championships were also their first three championships they have ever won. The Patriots were formed in 1959 in the American Football League, but moved to the National Football League in 1970. They are apart of the East Division of the American Football Conference, where they play at the Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts. 

Bill Belichick has been the head coach of the Patriots since 2000 and is the first head coach in NFL history to win three championships in four years. He will enter his 37th year coaching in the NFL, where he has been able to accumulate the third highest winning percentage. His most recent season with the Patriots consisted of 14 wins and only 2 loses to gain 1st in the their Division. Sadly, their playoff experience was cut short by the New York Jets in the Divisional Playoffs.

The home of the Patriots is the Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts. The stadium was opened in 2002 with a grass surface and a seating capacity of 68,756 people. In 2006, the grass surface was replaced by artificial turf because a rainstorm destroyed the grass beyond repair.

Clearly, the Patriots are a team to watch out for in the upcoming season. They have been able to keep an impressive record the past couple of seasons and show no signs of slowing down for anyone.
