The 2014 season was pretty good to the New England Patriots, culminating with their fourth Super Bowl title in the past 14 years. Head Coach Bill Belichick and quarterback Tom Brady worked together, along with a team of less than superstars to defeat their competitors and eventually raise the Lombardi Trophy. Heading into the 2015 season, the Patriots roster will not look the same, yet as long as those two are involved, will always have a chance for a repeat performance. With a healthy tight end in Rob Gronkowski, Brandon LaFell, and Julian Edelman leading the wide receiving corps, their offense should be right back on track. New England also added wideout Brandon Gibson from the Miami Dolphins and will have second year guy Aaron Dobson back from an Achilles injury that plagued him last season. In the backfield, which always seems to be a carousel for Belichick, they will have LeGarrette Blount, Travis Cadet and Brandon Bolden to carry the rock until of course one fumbles and some unheard of will emerge to take over, and succeed. Defensively, New England ranked eighth in points allowed, 13th in yards allowed and ninth versus the run in 2014. The Patriots are the first defending champions to enter the following season without either of the cornerbacks that started in the Super Bowl, as they lost Darrelle Revis to the New York Jets and Brandon Browner to the New Orleans Saints this offseason. The corner position is their biggest question mark heading into 2015 as their secondary is comprised of the young and somewhat unproven. The remainder of the defense is still fairly solid and should hold opposing offenses at bay. Even with the few flaws, the New England Patriots are the favorite to emerge on top of the AFC East and perhaps the AFC overall.
With their offensive weapons, crafty play calling and knack for picking apart defenses, this team will once again delight Patriots ticket holders and give New England fans an exciting 2015 season. So be sure to secure your New England Patriots tickets and catch all the action live.
