All this has been done in the name the eighth studio album from the minds of Jay DeMarcus, Gary LeVox, and Joe Don Rooney, which also happens to be the namesake for the new mega tour. Through the course of those eight studio albums and the resultant nine major headlining tours, Rascal Flatts have officially surpassed 7 million concert tickets sold. Live Nation recently announced the passing of the mark and presented a giant ticket to the group.

The Rascal Flatts latest album is its first in two years and its second on Big Machine Records. The move to the independent label has hardly diminished the group’s role in country music. The first album under this new support, Nothing Like This, went platinum in the United States and became the first Rascal Flatts album in three releases to be certified in Canada. If anything the move to the new record label has allowed the group to focus on its live performances rather than worry about releasing new albums.

The proof is in the numbers, as one million of those seven million Rascal Flatts concert tickets have been sold in 2012, a year in which the new album has only managed to reach gold status. Still, fans come out to listen to live renditions of the latest number one hit “Banjo”, as well as the classics that endeared the group to the masses, like “I Won’t Let Go”, “What Hurts the Most”, and “My Wish”.
