The St. Louis Blues are named after the famous W.C. Handy song "St. Louis Blues." They were formed in 1967 and are in the Central Division of the Western Conference. Currently, there home is at the Scotttrade Center in St. Louis, Missouri.

Davis Payne was signed on to be the Blues 23rd head coach in 2010. He is currently the youngest head coach in the NHL. Before the NHL, he was head coaching the Peoria Rivermen in the American Hockey League, until he was promoted to coaching the Blues.

The Blues were able to get 38 wins with 33 loses in the 2010-11 season. They were ranked third in the Central Division, but were unable to get a spot in the playoffs.

The home of the Blues is at the Scottrade Center. Opened in 1994, the arena was originally called the Kiel Center and then the Savvis Center. With a seating capacity of 19,150 people, it has plenty of room to host the fans of the Blues. The Scottrade Center has been ranked as second, in the United States, and forth, in the world, in the amount of tickets sold. It is also frequently selected by the NCAA to host Hockey, Basketball, and Wrestling Championships.

It has been a rough road for the Blues, in terms of Stanley Cups. They were able to make it to the Stanley Cup three times in a row from 1968 to 1970. Unfortunately, they have been unable to win a single championship. In 1968 and 1969, they lost to the Montreal Canadiens, where they were swept, both times. Then they were swept again, in 1970, by the Boston Bruins.

The St. Louis Blues cannot be blue, like the song they were named after. They should be proud to play at one of the best arenas in the world and make it to the Stanley Cup three times. They just need to make sure that when they make it to the Stanley Cup, they win it and bring back something their fans would be proud of.
