In the year 1976, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers joined the NFL during the NFL expansion. After only spending their inaugural football season in the AFC West, the Bucs quickly switched to become a part of the NFC Central division. In their now 37 years in the NFL, the Bucs have been able to make the playoffs 10 times, capture their Division 6 times, and both one Conference championship and a Super Bowl in 2002.  The Buccaneers currently play in the Southern Division of the NFC, where they call home to Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida.

Last season was a tough one for the Bucs. After finishing the regular season with a 4-12 record, the organization has been forced to look deep into their game plan to fix their mistakes. In 2010, the Bucs were able to earn a winning record of 10-6 record, and believed 2011 to be their year to be better. Now looking at the start of the 2012 season, the Buccaneers are looking to put the 2011 season to be behind them and continue to capitalize on their winning performances prior.  In his fourth season as Head Coach, Raheem Morris, is hoping to prove to the organization that he is the right fit for the team. With young Quarterback Josh Freeman, ready to prove his mature leadership ability, the Buccaneers are moving in the right direction and are expecting a lot out of this season.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers compete at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida. Nicknamed the New Sombrero, the stadium is named after Raymond James Financial. This Stadium is home to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (NFL), the Tampa Bay Mutiny (MLS), and three NCAA teams from the area. This structure seats an impressive 65,908 fans, and is also expandable to seat 75,000. Not many stadiums can boast that they house a 103 foot Pirate ship made of over 43 tons of steel and concrete, well this stadium can.  Not only does this attraction bring in great crowds, but also the field view from around the stadium is second to none! This is the perfect place to watch the Bucs turn things around.

Will the Buccaneers ever live up to their pinnacle 2002 season? Many believe for this team to achieve their ultimate goal of another Super Bowl, it will take a lot more that what they have been demonstrating the past few seasons. The Understand to be the best you can’t settle for anything less than perfection. Though it may take a few years to find their stroke of perfection, the 2012 season is the perfect starting point.
