The Toronto based rock band known as Three Days Grace has released five studio albums, each at three year intervals. Their first Three Days Grace in 2003, One-X released in 2006 and Life Starts in 2009, Transit of Venus in 2012, and Human in 2015. The band’s first three albums were certified platinum, and gold, by the RIAA in the United States, whereas in Canada the albums were certified as platinum, double platinum. The band has had a string of number one hits on the Billboard Alternative Songs and Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks charts. Their most recent work the album called Human released the bands eleventh No. 1 single entitled, “Painkiller”. The single was released on the iTunes Store on April 1, 2014 and to US Rock radio on April 8, 2014 the track has three singles released from it so far they include the songs, “I Am Machine,” and “Human Race.” Three Days Grace has been recognized for their musical efforts through several awards and nominations in 2007 the band was ranked by Mediabase as the top artist in airplay across all the rock formats in the US and Canada. And then in the same year Billboard named them Rock Artist of the Year, Three Days Grace was nominated for four Juno Awards, including New Group of the Year in 2004. The song “I Hate Everything About You” was nominated for Best Rock Video and People’s Choice: Favourite Canadian Group of the Much Music Awards.
