Trey Anastasio is an accomplished composer, guitarist, and the highly acclaimed vocalist from the rock band Phish. His solo career includes, the Trey Anastasio Band and the orchestral “Evenings with Trey Anastasio” which was performed with the New York Philharmonic, the Los Angeles Philharmonic, the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, the Baltimore Symphony, the Pittsburgh Symphony, and the Colorado Symphony. Credited with composing 152 songs for Phish, 140 of them as a solo credit in addition to the 41 composed by the band as a whole. In 2013 he was a nominee for the best score Tony award for the Broadway musical Hands on a Hardboy. Anastasio received the 2013 Dramatist Guild Frederick Loewe award for Dramatic Composition. While on this tour across the United States he will be debuting songs from his highly anticipated solo album, Paper Wheels, along with his septet he is traveling to multiple cities. Throughout his career Anastasio employed the services of Paul Languedoc to build highly resonant hollow-body electric guitars. Key to Anastasio’s signature tone is his Ibanez Tube Screamers, and Ross Compressors, his electric guitar technique is largely conventional and effects processors play a crucial role in achieving Anastasio’s guitar tone. Trey Anastasio is scheduled to stop in Denver, CO at the Filmore Auditorium for two night starting Friday November 13 and Saturday November 14th. Trey has worked on multiple projects throughout his career in collaborations such as Bivouac Jaun in 1984, Bad Hat in 1994 with Jon Fishman on drums and Jamie Masefield on mandolin, and Stacey Starkweather on Bass, Phil Lesh and Friends commonly referred to as Phil Lesh and Phriends in 1999, SerialPod is a trio featuring Anastasio, Gordon and Bill Kreutzmann they performed together at the 14th annual Warren Haynes Christmas Jam in 2005.
