Hailing from Columbus, OH, Twenty One Pilots is an indie duo comprised of front man Tyler Joseph and drummer Josh Dun. The Fueled By Ramen recording artists will be headlining a major US tour this summer stopping for two performances at Red Rocks July 12th and 13th, 2016. The “EMØTIØNAL RØADSHØW” tour is a follow up to their current “Blurryface Tour” which has seen sellout crowds in venues across North America. Formed in 2009, the duo put out two self-released albums Twenty One Pilots in 2009 and Regional at Best in 2011. In November of 2011, Joseph and Dunn played a sold out show at Columbus’ Newport Music Hall attracting the attention of many record labels, and eventually signed with Atlantic Records subsidiary label, Fueled By Ramen in 2012. Under this new label, they have since released Vessel (2013) and Blurryface (2015) to the delight of their fans. Twenty One Pilots bring a mix of piano, synthesizer, drums, an occasional ukulele and vocals. This talented duo is tough to place in a specific genre or label because their music has so many influences including pop, hip hop, indie rock and electro pop. Some of their fans have begun to refer to their music as schizophrenic pop or schizoid pop indicating that their sound has many personalities. With the duo’s star on the rise, their tours have been selling out very quickly. Fans should be sure to purchase their Twenty One Pilots tickets early so they are not shut out of the incredible performances throughout this EMØTIØNAL RØADSHØW tour.
