This led to the club choosing a dinosaur named Dinger as its mascot. After the Coors Field Tickets 2fossils were found, rumors spread that the location may be called Jurassic Park.

The stadium became the first MLB ball yard utilize an underground heating system. The seats in the upper deck's 20th row are purple in color to signify the city's elevation point of a mile high. Most of the other seats are dark green.

The 1998 MLB All-Star game was held at Coors Field Denver CO and the Boston Red Sox clinched the World Series there in 1997 after winning games three and four of the playoff series to sweep the Rockies four games to none.
