Ribeiro is a vet with over a decade’s experience on the ice and has proven his on-par stats in Dallas are ready to be inflated now that he is playing with some decent offensive players to share the puck with.

In addition to the talented group of skaters, Washington needs the blue liners to do their part to protect who ever emerges as the ultimate starter in the net. Whether it is Mike Green moving the puck between zones or John Erskine and John Carlson staying at home in back, Either Michal Neuvirth or Braden Holtby has to earn the respect of the team in goal. Holtby has struggled and Neuvirth has played well in the meantime. Holtby is a young man with a bright future and a short season to get his act together.
