The Zombies are an English psychedelic pop-rock band formed in 1961 in St. Albans. Leadman Rod Argent on the piano, organ and vocals and Colin Blunkstone on vocals. The group earned international acclaim with their 1964 hit “She’s Not There” as well as their hit singles one in 1965 “Tell Her No” and “Time of the Season’ in 1969 were both also wildly successful. The 1969 album “Odessey and Oracle” is ranked number 100 on Rolling Stone magazine’s list of 500 Greatest Albums of All Time. It’s the second studio album by The Zombies and was released in the spring of ’68. The album has since that time has earned critical acclaim. “Time of the Season” was released as a single and to the surprise and delight of everyone it became a hit in early ’69. Part of the British Invasion groups The Zombies toured the United States promoting their hit single. Currently every year they do an annual tour of the United States, the Netherlands and the UK. They also make their rounds of the festival circuits that literally dot the US.
