Since 1995, the Canadian band Nickelback has included guitarist and lead singer Chad Kroeger, guitarist and back-up vocalist Ryan Peake and bassist Mike Kroeger. The drummer and percussionist Daniel Adair joined the band in 2005. Their music is classified as hard rock, alternative metal, and alternative rock. This Vancouver based band is one of the most commercially successful Canadian groups, having sold more than 50 million albums worldwide. Nickelback’s success has them rancked as 11th best selling music act in the 2000s, and 2nd best selling foreign act in the United States right behind the Beatles for the 2000s.
Nickelback released their first full-length album in 1996, and then started touring to promote their album. Their single released in 2001 “How You Remind Me” topped the charts in Canada and the U.S. charts at the same time. Despite some tough criticism they received at first, Nickelback has a platinum album under their belt. With out a doubt they can continue putting out hit singles until they decide to stop touring. After two U.S. legs and international tours with 120 tour dates, Nickelback does not stop there. They are pressing on with another tour, but not alone; they will be joined with Two Days Grace and Buckcherry.
