The Denver Broncos enter the NFL Playoffs as the #1 seed in the AFC. The Broncos are on a roll winning their last 11 games. The Peyton Manning led Broncos will have home field advantage throughout the playoffs. If the Broncos win at home against the Baltimore Ravens, it could lead to a potential showdown with Tom Brady and the New England Patriots for the AFC title.
Over the course of the last few seasons, Denver has been working around the clock to put together a championship contending team. During the 2011-2012 seasons, the Broncos’ unique offense and dominant defense successfully placed them in the Playoffs, where they upset the Pittsburg Steelers in an amazing overtime drive. They were then defeated by the New England Patriots in the second round. This tough loss forced the team to reevaluate their offensive strategy. For a team that has produced four Hall of Famers, including current Vice President of Football Operations John Elway, it came as no surprise when the Broncos did all they could to acquire future hall of fame quarterback Peyton Manning. Fresh off the heels of one of the biggest free agent signings in NFL history, the Broncos have their sight on one thing, a Super Bowl championship in the 2012-2013 season.
The home of the Broncos is Sports Authority field at Mile High in Denver, Colorado. The team originally played at Mile High Stadium in Denver, until 1999 when owner Pat Bowlen decided to have a new stadium build only a few hundred feet away from the old stadiums site. Since the new stadium has been built the Broncos have been attracting fans from all over the fill the 76,125 seats at Sports authority field. The atmosphere at this stadium is very unique, maybe it is the thin mile high air or the rumbling seats as the fans cheer, but whatever it may be, the home of the Denver Broncos is a special place to be.
For the Denver Broncos, the 2012-2013 season is their time to show the NFL just exactly what they are made of. Their Powerful defense, led by veteran Champ Bailey and upcoming tackle machine Von Miller, paralleled with a redesigned offence led by one of the best quarterbacks to play the game in Peyton Manning, is a force to be reckoned with. Now is the time for the Broncos to set the bar a mile high and achieve their goal of a Super Bowl Championship.
