With the NBA Lockout in full effect, there is much uncertainty for the Denver Nuggets future. After losing Carmelo Anthony last season to the New York Knicks, the Nuggets have been missing that go-to-guy. Many players like J.R. Smith, Ty Lawson, and Nene have done a great job of picking up the slack. However the bottom line comes to winning games. Some exciting talent was picked up in the draft this year in Morehead State's 6'8 forward Kenneth Faried, and one of the Texas Longhorn's key playmakers Jordan Hamilton, who are both not able to work out or interact with the team during the lockout.

But this is not all the new talent coming into Denver. Also returning to the Nuggets is NBA Veteran Andre Miller, who played several seasons in Denver before being traded to Philadelphia. Head Coach George Karl and the Nuggets management say they are using the lockout as a time to recruit and find new players who will be beneficial to the franchise not only from around the country, but overseas as well.

Danilo Gallinari, a star player in Italy is now on the Nuggets' roster, which will hopefully make a great impact once the lockout is settled and the NBA resumes play. However many players have tried to come up with a solution to the lockout to stay in shape and continue to prepare for when the NBA season finally does come along. Ty Lawson is one of the many NBA players who are looking to play overseas throughout the lockout, Lawson specifically looking in Italy. Many other superstars like Kevin Durant, Stephon Marbury, and even the Finals MVP Dirk Nowitzki are considering temporarily going across the pond to play ball, and make good money while staying in shape for when the NBA reaches a settlement.  Although this is a good temporary solution while the players are forced to hold out, George Karl is focused on building a Nuggets team that will come back strong and compete in the league, most importantly winning games.

If the management can reach terms with Nene, he will also be a key component in whether or not the team needs to be completely rebuilt. After being offered a generous $11.6 million, Nene turned down the offer and for now the question comes to whether he really wants to stay with this franchise or not.

As the drama continues to unfold, George Karl remains focused on the upcoming season and putting together a strong team to compete in the NBA and give the fans what they want, wins.
